My Cats Belong On Countertops
Share
Almost everytime I post a video of my cats on countertops, I'll get someone commenting that "it's disgusting" or "they don't allow their cats on counters" etc.
But I'm not here to educate them on how my cats are cleaner than their teenagers, or how cats learn our routines, and the minute you leave the house, you can go ahead and bet...they ARE on your counter tops.
I'm not here to be petty today.
Instead...we are going to get emotional.
Because I once saw another cat content creator's post, and in the comment section someone wrote: "I get to leave my house everyday, but my cats are always stuck at home, and I feel bad for them, so I just let them go anywhere they want, and I clean up after them."
I got off my computer that night, and looked up the square footage on my home.
2385 square feet.
That's how much room my cats have to live in.
If I took the counter tops away, then they'd have even less...
Well....I'm not sure about you, but my cats mean everything to me. (Literally everything...)
And if 2385 square feet is all that I have to offer them, then they can go anywhere they want to, (aside from the actual food pantry where nothing good would happen.)
....
And do you know what I do in my house before I cook?
I take 30 seconds to wipe down the counters.
